PROJECT OVERVIEW: Jody Shaw Designs HQ has been the subject of extensive renovations; as the first of our back to brick renovations 12 years ago. It has since been shot for 25 Beautiful Homes (2018). It has been fully re-wired, re-plumbed and extended via the loft and outrigger to add a new guest suite and home office. Every window and door has been replaced with high-performance replacements that satisfy local Conservation Area requirements.
We have installed commercial grade wifi, air conditioning and electric car charging points and we are working to having solar panels installed in early 2023. Each of these developments have since been rolled out for clients. It has also been a test-run for each of our new cabinet-makers, having installed two dressing rooms, one study and a kitchen with breakfast nook, ahead of staffing new projects with the craftsmen and women. It has also been a great opportunity to try out new upholstery and window treatments, making a point of using local businesses and where possible, maintaining high levels of sustainability.
